Parker 900 Baltic in the Caribbean

SeaSafari rib trips are becoming more and more popular and Parker Ribs are enjoying the benefits of this ever growing market. The Parker 900Baltic produces without doubt one of the best soft and dry rides a rib of that size can offer. The word of this got even to the Caribbean where on the Isle of Grenada a Parker 900Baltic with the SeaSafari seating set up and powdered by twin mighty Mercury Optimax 225 outboard engines is now operating for the second season running.

Gdynia (PL) to Southampton (GB) by rib - Parker 900RS
.jpg)
There are various ways of delivering a rib to the UK and specially for the Ribex exhibition and I would guess we have now tried all of them. Shrink wrapped on a trailer, launched in Calais and across the Channel at speed, unattended on the ferry. The latest delivery was most probably the most spectacular - all the way by sea from Gdynia to Southampton. This trip was undertaken in April by Peder, Chris, Mirek and Andre. This was a 1000 mile journey which took the route west along the Polish coast to Dziwnow. From Dziwnow to the Kiel canal. Once on the other side of the Kiel to the exotic Island of Helgoland and then down to Der Helder and across the North Sea to Felixstowe. From Felixstowe along the UK coast to Southampton. The weather on route was fine and we could not have asked for better conditions. The worst was passing Selsy Bill and through the Solent into Southampton waters where Chris and I got battered and soaked. We all would however make such a passage again
